June   1957                The birth of the Mindanao Vocational School (MVS), the foundation from which sprang the Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges and was spearheaded by Atty. Eugenio M. Millado and Mrs. Aurora Garcia Millado.

June 13, 1960           Mindanao Vocational School was granted government recognition for one year Collegiate Secretarial Course with a Certificate in Secretarial Science (C.S.S) by Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS).

June 12, 1961            Mindanao Vocational School was changed to Magsaysay Memorial Jr. College (MMC).

                             Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted   MMC government recognition for the complete Secondary Course (Day) Under 2-2 Plan.

                                     Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted Magsaysay Memorial Jr. College government recognition for 2 – year Secretarial course leading to Diploma in Secretarial Science (D.S.S).

July 19, 1965              Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (MMC) government recognition for complete Elementary Education (Day).

July 11, 1966              Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (MMC) government recognition for the 4-year Education Course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE).

                                    MMC received government recognition from Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) for Bachelor of Arts (A.B).

                                     Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (MMC) government recognition for Bachelor of Science in Commerce.

July 16, 1967        Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) authorized MMC to open and conduct temporarily 5th year night Secondary Education.

July 3, 1967             In accordance with laws of the Republic Act 2706, as amended by the Commonwealth Act 180, the school was temporarily authorized to open and conduct Kindergarten.

 July 3, 1967                Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted government recognition for Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

July 1, 1968                 Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted MMC government recognition for Kindergarten.

July 18, 1968            Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted MMC government recognition for 5th year night Secondary Education.

July 1, 1968                 Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECS) granted MMC government recognition for Kindergarten.

June 30, 1978              Ministry of Education and Culture and Sports(MECS) granted RMMC to open and conduct Graduate Course in Teaching Elementary Agriculture leading to the degree of  Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Agriculture.

April 29, 1978             Florante G. Millado, son of the late Atty. Eugenio M. Millado was installed as the College President.

SY 1978-1979             President Florante G. Millado personally asked the permission of Mrs. Luz B. Magsaysay, the widow of the late President to affix the name of the late President Magsaysay, thus, the present name-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges.

March 25, 1980          Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECS) authorized RMMC to conduct summer classes in Secondary.

April 10, 1980             MECS granted RMMC Summer Permit for Collegiate Undergraduate Course.

June 18, 1984              MECS granted RMMC government recognition for Graduate Course in Education leading to the degree of Master of Arts in Education (MAEd).

June 17, 1985              MECS granted RMMC government recognition for the 4-year Course in Criminology leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

                                    MECS granted government recognition for the 1st – 4th years of the Secretarial Course leading to degree of Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Administration (BSSA).

                                    MECS granted RMMC – Makar Campus government recognition for the Complete Secondary Course (Day).

June 15, 1987              Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) granted RMMC government recognition for the 4-year Course in Social Work leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW).

June 13, 1989              DECS granted RMMC government recognition for 4-year Customs Administration leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration.

June 1990                    Speech laboratory room was installed with complete facilities.

April 7, 1993               DECS granted RMMC government recognition to conduct summer classes for recognized collegiate and graduate courses only.

June 8, 1993                DECS granted RMMC temporary permit for Bachelor of Science in Accountancy for 1st year to 3rd year in School year 1992 – 1993.

August 4, 1993            Florante G. Millado, 2nd President of the College who led RMMC for 15 years died.

August 7, 1993            The Board of Trustees hailed its new Chairman and at the same time President of the College, Mr. Jose Mari R. Millado, the eldest son of the late President.

                                    He introduced the following innovations in the school system:

  • Installation of the Audio-Visual Room
  • Installation of air conditioning units to some BS Accountancy classrooms.
  • Installation of Internet system and computerization of the school operations.

October 5, 1993          DECS granted RMMC government recognition for 1st to 5th years of Civil Engineering leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

May 26, 1994              DECS granted RMMC temporary permit to open and conduct 1st year of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

December 1995          RMMC ranked 3rd place in the National level in Board examination for Civil Engineering in terms of number of passers.

June 1996                    Faculty development through full-scholarship grants for graduate studies was given as privilege of the faculty members.

January 1997               Questioned document kit, finger print comparison, apparatus, and finger print kit for BS Criminology course were acquired.

August 4, 1997            Forensic comparison microscope and video camera were acquired for Criminology Program.

SY 1997-1998              DECS granted temporary permit for 1st - 4th years of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

November 1998          Testing Center was created as separate entity from Guidance Center.

July 1999                     Battery of psychological test instrument was acquired.

July 15, 1999               Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted RMMC government recognition for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Course.

August 24, 2000          The Board of Trustees shifted management from family to non-family members and re-organizational set-up was made. Mr. Fabian S. Casidsid was appointed as the new college president with Engr. Concepcion L. Concepcion as the Vice-President for Administration and Rodriga L. Gallogo as the Vice-President for Academics.

June 2001                    Air-conditioning units were installed in all classrooms in the college department.

April 14, 2002             CHED granted RMMC government recognition for Bachelor of Arts major in Psychology.

September 2001         New South Master Global Positioning System Unit was acquired.

June 7, 2002                Trimester program was implemented among freshman college students.

SY 2002                       Another Polygraph Test machine was acquired as one of the facilities for the BS Criminology course.

SY 2002                       CHED deputized RMMC to offer CSCR-ETTEAP by virtue of CHED Resolution No. 025 series of 2002.

December 2002          Second level of the 4- storey EMM building was completed.

November 2003          Vision, Mission and Goals of the College were revised.

June, 2004                   The Board of Trustees appointed Mr. Kristoffer Franz Mari R. Millado as the new president of the College.

January 2004               PACUCOA Consultancy Visit was conducted by the PACUCOA accreditation team for Liberal Arts, Business Administration/Commerce, Criminology, BSED and BEED.

June 15, 2005              CHED granted recognition for BSBA and BSIT courses.

June 2005                    Third level of the four -storey EMM building was completed

February 14-16,2007  PACUCOA Accreditation team conducted Preliminary visit for Liberal Arts, BusinessAdministration/Commerce, Criminology, BSED and BEED.

January 2007               Admission Office was created as Marketing and Promotion Office of the College.

December 2007          RMMC started offering the BSCR- ETTEAP program.

November,2007          PACUCOA granted CANDIDATE STATUS for 3 years (until November 2009) to RMMC’s 5 programs namely: Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Liberal Arts.

SY 2008                       RMMC posted 100% passing percentage in the April Licensure Examination for Teachers in Elementary level (for First Timers) as certified by the Professional Regulation Commission.

                                    RMMC achieved a 100% passing rate in the May 2008 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Licensure Examination.

January 2009               CHED Regional Office 12 granted Temporary Permit No. 13 series of 2009 to open and conduct Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

SY 2009                       CHED granted RMMC Temporary Permit No. 0072, 0073 & 0074, series of 2009 respectively for its Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, (I-II), Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (I, II) and Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering (I-II) courses.

April, 2009                  RMMC obtained 95.45 in the April 2009 Licensure Exam for Teachers – Elementary Level (First Timers Category).

May 30, 2009              4th level of the four -storey EMM building was completed.

June, 2009                   BSED majors in MAPEH & Physical Science was offered.

October, 2009             PACUCOA granted Level 1 Formal Accreditation Status for Liberal Arts, Business Administration/ Commerce and Criminology valid until October, 2012 and duly certified by Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) last December 14, 2009.

                                    PACUCOA endorsed Liberal Arts, Business Administration and Criminology Programs of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Level I Formal Accredited Status for the period October 2009 to October 2012.

December 2009          The Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) granted Liberal Arts, Business Administration and Criminology Programs (LACOMCRIM) of RMMC level 1 Accredited Status valid until October 2012 after having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements of the PACUCOA.

August 2010                PACUCOA endorsed BEED and BSED Programs of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Level II First Reaccredited Status valid until August 2013.

September 2010         Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) granted Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) Programs, respectively of RMMC level 1 status valid until August 2013 after having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements of the PACUCOA.

December 2011          PACUCOA endorsed Accountancy, Computer Science, Information Technology, Office Administration, High School and Master of Arts Programs respectively of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Candidate Status.

April 2012                   Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) granted High School Program, Information Technology Program, Computer Science Program, Accountancy Program, Office Administration Program and Master of Arts Program of RMMC Candidate Status valid until December 2013 after having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements of the PACUCOA.

October 2012              PACUCOA endorsed Business Administration and Liberal Arts Programs of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Level II First Reaccredited Status for the period October 2012 to October 2017.

December 2012          Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) granted Liberal Arts and Business Administration Programs of RMMC Level II Re-Accredited Status valid until October 2017 after having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements of the PACUCOA.

April 2013                   PACUCOA endorsed BSED and BEED Programs, respectively, of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Level II First Reaccredited Status for the period April 2013 to April 2018.

January 2014               PACUCOA endorsed Criminology Program of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges for certification to the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) for Level II First Reaccredited Status for the period January 2014 – January 2019.
